Frear Park provides year-round resources for the whole family: The 18-hole golf course hosts men's women's, and senior leagues, and schedules various tournaments and outings. Weekend reserve tee times are available by calling the weekend reserve tee time line on Hursday mornings from 10am to 11am at 235-8993. For information on rates and playing conditions please call the golf course at 270-4553. Tennis courts and baseball fields can be reserved for $20/2hrs by calling 235-7761 or 235-0215. Various other open fields can be used for football, frisbee, playing with the dog, or bathing in the sun. There are two children's playgrounds: one near the arena, and one along North Lake Ave. Several picnic tables and grills can be used for a lazy afternoon. The beautiful pagoda is often used for weddings. Call 235-7761 or 235-0215 for daily rental. The park boasts 2 lakes: Wright Lake and Bradley Lake. While boating and swimming is not allowed, they are great places to fish. Lunch and dinner is available at the Park Pub & Restaurant. Several segments of hiking trails are developed and continually improved and extended. In the winter the hockey ice rink arena is a great place to skate, the park is a good place for cross-country-skiing, and nothing beats sledding in Frear Park.
